MY ADVENTURES
6/6/03 - Hi, My name is Jessica Alexis Hayes. I'm going to tell you on what I did today. Today was my first day of school here today. We went on a field trip to the AMF bowling alley. In the first game I used the green 6 ball, but in the next game, I used the purple 10 ball. I did this because my freind, Isabella always got a lucky score. Once I saw her, I used that ball because she never got a bad score. We also tried the blue 15 ball to see if it was any better, but it was even worse! Once we came back to camp C.O.W, everybody got a superhero popsicle. Then I came onto the computer. THAT WAS MOSTLY WHAT I DID TODAY.
6/20/03 - This is my second time writing on the webpage, and it's my 5th day of school here today. Today we had a talent show, and I played the flute. Haley and Issabella did cheerleading. Carly did some country dancing. Brean did hula hooping. It was a great talent show. We played on the computer the rest of the day.THAT WAS MOSTLY WHAT I DID TODAY.
6/24/03 - This is my third time writing on this web page, and it's my 7th day at the school. Today we made our soap box cars, and mine is purple with hearts, flowers, and smiles on it. We watched the movie, "A Bugs Life", and my favorite part is the fake mess-ups of the movie. I have the movie at home. We went to G-Wiz and did tons of cool science expieremt exhibets, and my favorite thing was the thing that made your hands feel like velvet.THAT WAS MOSTLY WHAT I DID TODAY.
6/26/03 - This is my fourth time writing in this web page, and it's my 9th time at this the school. I'm going to tell you what I did today. Today I came to school, and I made a pen holder, or it could be a mini trash can for on top of a desk. About a half of an hour later we went on to the Church of the Palms van, and we were on our way to Mote Marine Aquarium. When we got to Mote Marine we gave the people that work there the tickets that Isabella's dad, Mr. Williamson, brought in and then we were on our way! We saw lots of fish including dead squids and hermit carbs. We then saw a movie on sharks. Then we went to go pet the hermit crabs, coral, and the soft sting rays. We then went in the van so we could go have lunch. We ate by a beautiful lake with tons of sail boats. After we were done, we went to the second building with the turtles and manatees. We saw tons of turtles and manatees, and we saw the hospital for marine life. Somebody was working on a dolphin when we were there. Then after that, my favorite part of the whole trip happened. We went to do a video game. It was about fish, and we used a touch screen computer! What the point of the game was to eat your pray and get away from your predators at the same time! I had to share the computer with Tara because there were too many people so our point name was JessiTara! On the screen behind the man, it showed you who ate you or who you ate, what you guys score was, and the instant replay of the whole thing. After that we went came back to school, and we wrote a thank you note to Issabella's dad, Mr. Williamson, and then I came to write on this web page. THAT WAS MOSTLY WHAT I DID TODAY.
6/27/03 - Today is my 5th day writing on this web page, and it's my 10th time at the school. First I made a flower pot with pebbles and buttons glued onto it. While I was doing that, all the other girls were practicing for the dance party from the 50's. We then when around the campus showing them our dance moves. I saw my brother's room and everybody was shouting at me about that I was Charles' sister. After we did our last performance on the playground, we came back in to the room to have Spiderman popsicles. We then watched a movie called "The Adventures of Elmo in Grouch land". The movie was about Elmo that lost his blanket that he lost in the wind. While he was trying to find it, he conquered adventures. Once the movie was over, I headed over here to work on this web page. THAT WAS MOSTLY WHAT I DID TODAY!
7/10/03 - Today we went to the 911 center. Mr. Lint showed our group around the 7th floor. First we saw the lunch room, and we talked about what kind of problems you could have when you call 911. We also found out what kind of questions the people would ask you if we called 911. Then we went to where the people get the calls. We went to a very nice person who showed us on the computer where our house would be if we told her our address. We learned that after the people ask you a question they send it over to the other side of the room. There they send it to the ambulances, the police, and the fire station. We then went back to the room, and we met Terry. Terry was a cell phone, and it talked. There was speakers on the side of her, and the man in the back of the room talked through her. Terry wanted us to practice on her. He would ask us what our phone number is, what our address is, and what our emergency is. Then we headed back to Church of the Palms, and we watched the movie, "Barbar". It was about an elephant that conqured through adventures. Then I had lunch, and I came here to work on my web page. THAT WAS MOSTLY WHAT I DID TODAY!
7/11/03 - Today when I got to school I saw everybody playing with pick up sticks. Ms. Kelly came over to me and gave my joke notecards. One joke was, "What kind of car did Mickey mouse's wife drive?" "A Minnie Van".My second joke was, "What is the most slippery country in the world?" "Greece". We then did the show, and my brother's class came. After that we did our tie dies. We had three dies that were red, blue, and green. We each got to bring in something white. I broght in a shirt, but a lot of people did socks! We could only pick one color, and I chose blue like mostly it seemed every body else. On my brand new white shirt I got red and blue die on it! We then came inside and had lunch. We had chicken and rice caserol and some pinnapple. We got to chose milk or juice, and I picked juice. There were 8 kids today, and 6 of us wanted milk. There were only 2 people who got juice. We then watched the movie, "The Ninja Turtles Episoge: Gooey Ooze". The movie was about turtles that knew martial art, and they saved the world from a mad scientist that was going to blow every thing up after he got out of the way. I then got my hair braided by Mrs. Coleen, and it was to slippery because I brushed my hair all day. I then came in here to do my web page. THAT WAS MOSTLY WHAT I DID TODAY!
7/18/03 - I haven't been to Church of the Palms since a long time because I had a real bad ear infection. I was gone a whole week including to today. I went to the doctors for my exam for school, and they did a inspection in my ear also, and they said that I had the worst one the doctors have ever seen before. My brother had to have shots. So any way, when I got here this morning it was Christmas in July. We painted candles that were all shapes and sizes. I then made a bracelet to sell for the store we were having to raise money for the field trip to Planet Fun. We them went out on the playground, and the girls besides Isabella went in to talk about stuff. We then had lunch, and we had pasta with meat balls, and also peaches. We made candles again because we made another cement candle batch, and we watched the movie "Buddy". The movie was about a gorilla raised as a baby. An animal lover who wants it to be happy, but the gorilla goes out of control! Then I made a picture of a beautiful butterfly that I almost finished until we had to go in here to do my web page. THAT WAS MOSTLY WHAT I DID TODAY!
7/22/03 - Today when I got into Church of the Palms every body was screaming for some reason. They were having Chex Mix, and I don't like it so I said that I wouldn't like any. Today there was 3 new people, John, Stephen, and Sean. We played with picture puzzles until we went to Planet Fun on the big bus. On the way there we got a little lost until Ms. Jan showed us the way by calling the place. once we got there we got our tokens, and we went on the roller coaster. I used all my rides on the roller coaster. We then went into the jungle gym and then I got lost. I spent my extra money, $2.00 and I ended up with 64 tickets. I had lunch, pizza and coke and then I collected my prizes. I got two air heads and two tootsie rolls. The air head flavors were bubble gum and orange. We then went on the bus and I talked to Carly about our family. I ate my bubble gum air head, but I'm giving the orange one to my brother, Charles. We then played with dominoes and our hair when we got to the school, and the boys played with lego's. I then came into the computer to do my web page. THAT WAS MOSTLY WHAT I DID TODAY!
7/24/03 - Today when I got here everybody was being quiet for five minutes so they would each get some M&M's. Soon after, Mrs. Coleen came, and we went out side to play with water fun. Mrs. Coleen first showed us some art projects we should do in our free time. First, there was a spatula and yellow paint. We got to make duck prints by dipping the spatula into the paint, and then you print it on the page. There was also rainbow popsicle sticks, paper, and a spray bottle with water in it. You would make a picture on the paper using the popsicle sticks, and then you spray the water on it. When you take off the sticks, you would see your picture. Then there was a poster of Sponge Bob with a big circle in the face. Then they taped it onto a box. You would put your face into the circle and then they would throw wet sponges at your face. Then there was the water ballon race and the water bottle chase. First, the water chase was when you have a filled up water bottle with water, and then you try and get it into your bowl first before the other teams. With the water balloons, you throw it at each other, and the person that throws it the longest wins. The last thing was the feather race. You try to blow a feather in the air to your other partner. Then that person runs over the finish line before any one else. After that we got sprayed with the hose. Then we had lunch. We had Chicken Alla King and apple sauce. For dessert we had homemade ice cream. It was vanilla with chocolate sauce on it. It also had M&M's on it. I stirred the chocolate and ice cream together and I got chocholate ice cream! After that we went inside and played cards. We played the game Chamelon. We first pick a chamelon, and remember your color. Then you pick seven regular color cards and try and get all your cards the color your chamelon is. You do that by picking a card when it's your turn, and then you get rid of one of your cards. the first one who gets all of the seven cards the color of your chamelon wins! We then watched the movie, "Goerge of the Jungle". The story's about a girl who makes a video about animals in Africa for a TV show. Then the girl got saved by the king of the jungle by a lion. Then they fall in love, and have adventures. After the movie, we looked on the computer at our pictures from water day on the computer. We did it on the computer because it was taken by a digital camera. Every body had a good picture except me! THAT WAS MOSTLY WHAT I DID TODAY!
