Adding a science table to a classroom can be challenging. Coordinating
computer activities seem impossible. Teachers need to develop a system
that will work for them as individuals as well as meet the standards
of their centers. Try using theme bins to help keep track of the activities
used throughout the year. Shoeboxes or plastic bins are a perfect size.
These bins can be stored in a closet or shared with other teachers.
Themes and computer programs should be changed every month to stimulate
the students' learning and expose them to new and different challenges.
This is easier to do if there is a box for the theme to go into and another box
with items and activities ready to go. Start off with 3 or 4 boxes and add
new boxes as new ideas come along.
